Altema, ToolkiT and magmasilk,

In stock form the Supercharged Ford F-150 Lightning and Harley are two of the fastest street legal vehicles on the road today, and both are the fastest production trucks on the planet.
With anywhere from $500-2,000 in high performance modifications, a modded $33K Lightning or $38K Harley can run with a $1 Million dollar McLaren F1 or $500K Enzo Ferrari, and blow the doors off just about any sports car on the road whether it be at the drag strip or on a road course.

In 2005 with the introduction of the next generation Lightning ($40K), the stock Lightning will be one of the fastest vehicles in the world. A "truck" will be able to outrun most of the world's supercars that cost 2-5 times the Lightning's price. I am anxiously awaiting its release.

The Dodge Ram SRT-10 that is mentioned in the above article has been scrapped by Dodge due to budget, sales, and insurance concerns. That's a shame because there would have been another stock production truck cruising the streets that could outclass most of the world's sports cars.

Up until now you may not have liked these trucks or known much about them, hopefully all this info has enlightened you. One thing is for certain, you have to respect them. If we had our choice we would be driving a 2003 Dodge Viper or a 2003 Corvette Z06, but since both are a little out of our price range at the present time we bought the Harley as our daily driver.
The Harley isn't quite as fast as the Viper or Vette but it does seat four adults, haul 1,500 lbs of cargo and tow 4,500 pounds. Plus it looks good doing it :D
