A prototype for the upcoming 2013 Kia K9 has been caught while doing some testing in winter conditions. The flagship model of the brand will be the spiritual successor to the Opirus/Amanti that finished production in 2010.
It shares its underpinnings with the rear-wheel-drive platform used by the Hyundai Genesis sedan. The same engine line-up is likely to be passed on as well which means we should see a choice of three engine options.
The entry level unit is a 3.8-liter V6 engine that generates 333hp (248 kW / 337 PS), whilst there are two V8 options. The range topper has a displacement of 5.0-liters and pumps out 429 hp (320 kW / 435 PS).
It will still be a few months before final production details are released about the K9.

على مستوى وحدة دخول هو محرك V6 3.8 ليتر الذي يولد 333hp (248 كيلوواط / فرع فلسطين 337)، في حين أن هناك خيارين V8. وممتاز نطاق لها وتشريد 5.0 ليتر ومضخات من أصل 429 حصان (320 كيلوواط / فرع فلسطين 435).
